• Identify useful marketing strategies to increase and drive new patients through your door.
• Build understanding of current marketing trends including digital marketing and brand awareness.

Unit 4: Human Resources for a Dental Practice Manager

• Learn how to recruit, interview and induct new members of staff successfully.
• Discover essential compliance and the appropriate policies, protocols and procedures.
• Understand the important benefits of a good staff appraisal for both your practice and your staff.
• Learn how to implement regular daily huddles and staff meetings, find out useful topics for discussion and how to steer the meeting in a positive direction.
• Master techniques for overseeing poor staff performance and grievances.

 

Unit 5: CQC and Compliance Management

• Explore the function of the CQC and their effect on compliance management.
• Understand the CQC's 5 key lines of enquiry and the managers role of implementation.
• Understand the requirements in meeting the GDC standards in practice.
• Get the inside track and be fully equipped to handle a CQC inspection.

 

Unit 6: Finance and Cash Flow Management

• Discover cash flow management and understand cash flow forecasting.
• Identify practice Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and strategic ways to meet practice objectives.
• Gain a good understanding and learn how to read and set goals that reflect a practice's Profit and Loss (P&L) Statement.
• Understand a dental practices main financial documentation and its purpose. 
• Learn key processes of controlling and monitoring budgets in dental practice.

 

Unit 7: The Art of Effective Communication

• Discover why effective communication is key to any practice manager's success.
• Learn the fundamentals of effective communication within the role of a practice manager.
• Explore and learn how to master the different types of communication.
• Learn how to maximise your communication skills and improve its effect on your dental practice and your team.

 

Although there is no specified time limit, studied part time this course can be completed within 3 months.
